McCann Minneapolis is looking for an Associate Digital Designer to join our team of graphic designers, UX designers, publishers and project managers assigned to an International Fortune 500 client. In this role, you will partner with a variety of the world’s leading e-commerce platforms to create and optimize brand advertising. In addition, you will work with our internal team to design and optimize web site experiences.

Your time will be split between working onsite with our client and at our agency’s downtown Minneapolis office. This allows for a unique opportunity to learn our clients’ business from the inside, while participating in agency life and culture.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design digital assets and layouts for web site and e-commerce driven initiatives
  • Collaborate with project management, senior creatives, UX designers, writers and developers to successfully execute client objectives
  • Translate strategic thinking and creative direction into an informed visual execution
  • Immerse yourself in the client’s brand as well as their competitive landscape to help inform insightful ideas
  • Work on multiple projects at once from concept through completion
  • Apply existing styles and guidelines to a wide range of digital assets
  • Present concepts to internal and external stakeholders and clients
  • Collaborate with site developers to help maintain design integrity


  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts/Graphic Design or equivalent design discipline
  • 1+ years of digital and/or graphic design experience
  • Proficient in design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign
  • Familiar with InVision & Sketch
  • Working knowledge of interaction design, responsive web design, HTML & CSS
  • Passionate about being a part of the digital world
  • Displays strong creative problem-solving skills
  • Efficient work habits and attention to detail
  • Ability to see the small details that take a design from good to great
  • Ability to comfortably and effectively present and sell your ideas
  • Understand the value of effective time-management
  • Curiosity for new technologies and emerging trends
  • Highly responsible, collaborative and self-motivated
  • Knowledge of content management systems a plus
