It’s difficult to pursue a career if you don’t know it exists. That’s why The BrandLab starts by connecting with students at the high school level. Through our hands-on curriculum, we spark students’ interest in opportunities in the marketing and creative field they didn’t even know existed! We annually serve nearly 750 students in 30 classrooms around the Twin Cities metro.
In partnership with a licensed teacher and industry professionals, The BrandLab hosts Spark workshops that collaboratively move through curriculum where students will be introduced to brainstorming, problem-solving and creativity through the lens of marketing. Our hands-on approach ensures that students will learn the marketing process by executing a full-scale, holistic, creative campaign. Our program emphasizes access and exposure. Students who complete The BrandLab Spark workshop will:
- Gain an experiential understanding of how to create successful marketing based on strategy, emphasizing target audience, key message, tone, branding, and tactics.
- Participate in an off-site field trip to experience the professional environment of the marketing and advertising industry.
- Be given access to sought-after internships, scholarships, professional development, and valuable networking opportunities.
If you are a licensed teacher interested in participating or a marketing professional interested in hosting a Spark workshop, please contact Shanaya Dungey, the Internship Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
