We connect high school and college students from Indigenous, Black, Brown, AAPI and Hispanic/Latinx backgrounds to marketing and advertising through paid summer internships.
The BrandLab's Summer Internship is a perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience with leading marketing and advertising teams while getting paid. Interns will receive training and coaching support throughout the 8-10 week summer internship.

What is The BrandLab Internship?
Ever wanted to know what it's like to have a career in Marketing and Advertising? The BrandLab's Summer Internship is a perfect opportunity to get paid for your creativity and gain hands-on work experience with major organizations and agencies in the Twin Cities, Kansas City, and Milwaukee.
Interns receive intensive training, led by industry professionals, to support and guide their career goals. Interns who complete the summer become The BrandLab alumni and continue to build their professional network and gain access to special scholarships, mentorship opportunities, and training.
High School Internship
- PAID Opportunity
- 20-25 hours per week
- 8-Week Program
- Open to High School Juniors and Seniors
High School interns are grouped into cohorts of 4-6 and are guided through an RFP process by industry volunteers and The BrandLab program staff. Students work together as a mini "agency" in collaboration with an industry client.
College + Beyond Internship
- PAID Opportunity
- 30-35 hours per week
- 10-Week Program
- Open to College-Age Participants
College interns are placed at a company for the summer. College-level internships are designed to be fully immersive, with interns reporting to a supervisor on site, working on client work, and building core skills and work for their portfolios.
