Position Title: Customer Relationship Marketing Specialist
Department: Marketing and Communications
Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer
Classification: Exempt FTE: 1.0

Essential Job Duties:

Leads the strategy and management of CRM marketing campaigns.
Provide campaign strategies using our enrollment CRM platform (Slate) to build and convert prospects, inquiries, applicants and enrolled students.
Define the enrollment targeting, timing, and frequency of direct response vehicles including direct mail, texting and email.
Develop email campaign strategies in partnership with advancement to build engagement with alumni driving conversions for event participation and volunteering.
Identify opportunities for A/B testing and optimization strategies for subject lines, content, and targeting.
Innovate and refine our campaigns based on new tools that support automation and personalization.
Provide CRM best practices as input to creative briefs.
Establish and track performance metrics and benchmarks for campaigns by building dashboards and other reporting tools.
Report campaign analytics and insights to colleagues in marketing and communications and campus partners.
Optimize future campaign strategies based on performance metrics.

Responsible for developing and managing marketing personas, segments, and marketing-specific journeys, aligning to the target audience lifecycle.
Analyzes touch points with the College while maximizing outreach opportunities.
Develop and define opportunity segments based on demographics, behavior and interests.
Create personas based on existing research and data to help bring our target segments to life.
Build journey maps and track performance for defined segments optimizing touch points based on behavior data and insights.
Integrate our CRM campaigns with our broad based media and digital marketing campaigns.

Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Term: Year Round

Shift: The standard 40-hour work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; flexible work arrangements can be proposed and are subject to approval by HR and relevant supervisors; occasional weeknight and weekend hours when needed; travel up to 5% of the work schedule, which includes local (Twin Cities metro area) and national travel. Overnight trips average 1-2 trips per year

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree; maintain a valid driver’s license and meet St. Olaf College driver authorization criteria with a satisfactory driving record
Experience: 5+ years of experience in customer relationship marketing or direct response marketing and experience with CRM software (Slate preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
Experience: 7+ years of experience in customer relationship marketing, experience in higher education marketing, and experience with Slate.
