Star Tribune Media Company has a great opportunity for a Digital Campaign Analyst in our Consumer Marketing Department.  In this position, as a member of our Digital Subscription Marketing team you will gather data for insights and recommendations to drive campaign performance through various digital media channels to support subscription sales. You will have the opportunity to assist with growing our digital and print subscription revenue by implementing campaign strategies and monitoring the performance against established benchmarks using internal and 3rd party reporting systems.  The Digital Campaign Analyst will also implement, manage and optimize programmatic media buys in various DSP's.

Responsibilities:

  • Create quantitative and qualitative analysis of digital subscription campaigns based on budget-driven objectives and KPI’s
  • Perform data analysis of key metrics such as CPC and CPA to identify, recommend and implement changes for increasing the performance of programs
  • Implement and manage programmatic media buys in various DSPs as required
  • Manage programs using sponsored content posts, SEM, programmatic display and other campaigns
  • Optimize campaigns for performance while retaining a strong margin
  • Coordinate scheduling of ads with internal ad ops team to support multi-channel promotional campaigns on StarTribune.com as requested
  • Research and stay abreast of current industry best practices and trends, develop and maintain digital best practices, and promote digital optimization techniques
  • Manage, prioritize, and respond to ad-hoc requests as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in marketing, business, finance, math, statistics or related field
  • 2+ years relevant experience in paid media or digital operations role, preferably with a brand or publisher
  • Experience conducting qualitative or quantitative analysis and building reports or presentations across multiple channels and platforms
  • Experience with Analytics tools (Google analytics, Omniture, etc.)
  • Experience with Ad Server technology (DFP or DCM/DFA preferred)
  • Knowledge about our digital suite of channels (SEM, Display, Email, Social tactics)
  • MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Experience with Tag Management Solutions such as GTM, Ensighten, or Adobe Tag Manager
  • General knowledge/experience with HTML and/or Javascript
  • Working knowledge of data attribution modeling
