About the role:
The Engagement Center (M Engage) is a group of about 40+ students at the University of Minnesota Foundation that engage with alumni and friends of the University through various communication channels including calling, texting, and emailing. The Engagement Center Trainer coordinates the on-boarding and continuous training of student engagement representatives. This position works with M Engage Senior Manager and M Engage Supervisor on scheduling, training, curriculum development, process improvement, and general operation of M Engage program. Some evening work is required in conjunction with training classes and Engagement center management.

Please note that this is a part time, 30 hour per week role. Starting hourly rate is $24- 28/hour.
What you’ll do:
Training (55%)
● Implement existing core training curriculum for new hires during training weeks, and deliver training for student supervisors, lead callers and on-going training for all student engagement representatives.
● Create training materials as new strategies and projects are implemented, including PowerPoint presentations and virtual and in-person trainings.
● Evaluate existing curriculum and training procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
● Develop new trainings on a weekly basis assessing students’ strengths and areas of growth when new projects are introduced.
● Develop Student Leadership level training curriculum for Student Engagement. Representatives as roles and responsibilities evolve in a growing program.
Staff Management/Administration (35%)
• Work with UMF Human Resources when the Engagement Center Supervisor is unavailable to coordinate the first day of training “new hire documents.”
• Facilitate team-building activities with trainees
• Manage multiple shifts per week and provide back-up for Engagement Center Supervisor managing evening calling sessions.
Data Analysis (10%)
• Track and evaluate retention trends.
• Evaluate student performance data to determine training needs.
• Track data for each project to determine large group training curriculum.

Qualifications:
• BA/BS or a combination of education and training experience to equal four years.
• PC software skills in MS Office, including the ability to create and update PowerPoint presentations, use formulas, and creating documents in Word.
