POSITION OVERVIEW

MVP Marketing + Design is a full-service creative agency seeking a Project Manager to work directly with the agency’s Account Executive (AE) and creative staff to plan, execute, and complete marketing projects on behalf of clients. This highly motivated and organized problem solver will work as a liaison between the team’s AE and design staff to plan and manage projects from beginning to end — that are on time and on budget.

This is a full-time position that reports to the Account Manager and will begin as a brief contract-to-hire with the goal of permanent placement.

LOCATION

While Minneapolis, MN and the surrounding Twin Cities area is the preferred location for this role, remote applications will be considered. This position is work from home.

PROJECT MANAGER’S ROLE

• Work with the AE to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Plan and schedule project timelines to meet the expectations of our clients.
• Communicate project expectations to team members in a timely, clear, and collaborative fashion.
• Schedule and hold meetings, and communicate next steps to the team.
• Manage ongoing communications associated with the project.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential challenges, and devise contingency plans as required.
• Collaborate with MVP’s designers/art directors/copywriters to offer original creative solutions and constructively critique all work — including your own.
• Contribute to both strategic and creative discussions.
• Serve as project liaison between clients and the MVP team, as needed.
• Proof all work including content, format, guidelines, spelling, and be responsible for obtaining final sign-off from AE.
• Write and edit copy as needed.
• Track project deadlines, client edits, and schedule changes in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts that develop within the project team.
• Ensure a consistent standard of quality is maintained on all projects.
• Participate in MVP new business presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, English, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in creative project management preferred
• Foundational knowledge of creative operations and advertising
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Exceptional writing and proofreading skills
• Highly motivated – productive without supervision, a self-starter
• Fantastic communication skills – can pivot easily between instant messaging team members, emailing clients, and hosting online meetings
• A team player – supportive, able to motivate groups of people around a given task, good sense of humor, and willingness to adapt to change
• Proficiency in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Slack

Salary for this position is anticipated to be $70,000-85,000, dependent on experience.
