As a Project Manager at Colle McVoy you are inherently curious, operationally minded, and a quintessential problem-solver who likes connecting dots. You will collaborate across all departments to scope and manage complex projects from start to finish for all types of projects. As the hub of Colle McVoy’s client work, the Project Manager will be responsible for successfully delivering solutions that exceed client expectations, while remaining on-time and on-budget. This is a client-facing role requiring effective communication and management across all internal departments and disciplines.
Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with cross-disciplines while driving the development and delivery of work for a variety of mediums — print, digital, social, video, audio, web, and experiential
– Lead and support teams through the course of the project; navigating any problems that may arise and providing resolutions
– Be a strong partner to the Account Supervisor and Account Executive(s) on the accounts you manage
– Be an active contributor to both strategic and creative discussions
– Have a pulse on what’s next, and a line of sight for what’s around the corner
– Schedule and facilitate team meetings, and communicate next steps to the team
– Stay up to date on the Clients’ priorities
– Manage multiple client projects simultaneously
– Create project timelines with deadlines and phases based on deliverables
– Proactively document and track your projects to ensure work stays on track
– Create accurate Estimates for Agency Fee of individual projects
– Review Scopes of Work for individual projects to ensure they are a 1-to-1 with the Estimate
– Follow the estimating and scoping process to ensure accurate scopes and estimates are achieved in partnership with a Sr. Project Manager
– Forecast resources for day-to-day projects and partner with your Sr. Project Manager and/or Resource Management Director to secure resources for the lifecycle of a project
– Oversee the team’s activities to guarantee the overall quality of work and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
– Communicate consistent project status updates across department teams for weekly and/or daily internal and client status meetings
– Monitor and flag scope creep and slippage
– Keep projects on pace from a project milestone perspective and flag in real-time when milestones are at risk of being missed
– Build relationships with agency discipline leads including Account, Strategy, Media, Creative, Studio, Production, and Finance for support of projects
– Operator of Agency process, knowing when to identify a moment that might require an adjustment based on project needs
– Proactively seek out training opportunities to advance skills within your role
Required Skills & Qualifications:
– 3+ years of experience within a creative agency environment in a project management capacity
– Highly organized, highly motivated, goal and detail-oriented, self-starter who is passionate and experienced
– Excels in problem solving and collaboration with internal, cross-discipline teams
– Strong communication skills
– Ability to change priorities quickly based on different client needs
– Someone who is inquisitive and has a pulse on what’s next
– Experience with projects and deliverables ranging from $10K to $2M
– Working understanding of the production processes
– Experience in Scope of Work writing
– Experience in building accurate Estimates to inform Scope of Work, and managing to those budgets and scopes
– Experience in developing and owning project timelines
– Ability to work both independently, and as a part of a team
– Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
– Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
– Ability to travel as needed
