Ecolab is seeking a Senior Specialist to join its Global Communications team. This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional to join a high-performing corporate communications team, supporting internal communications for key enterprise initiatives that motivate and engage our field sales teams to accelerate growth.
This role will be critical to engaging and informing Ecolab’s 24,000 sales-and-service team members who work across 40 industries at nearly 3 million locations in 170 countries. In this newly created position, there is ample opportunity to be innovative and creative, recommending new technologies and tactics to more effectively reach and engage our salesforce.
The successful candidate will have a passion for driving internal associate engagement and recognition efforts and pushing sales growth initiatives in new and creative ways. They will work closely with internal partners including Sales, Talent Development, global, divisional and market communications colleagues.
As a key member of the Global Communications team and commercial sales organization they will be motivated by helping build sales culture and success, and providing strategic communications advice to leaders and colleagues in driving engagement and action throughout the global field organization.
What You Will Do:
-Serve as a member of a high-performing global communications team that protects and enhances Ecolab’s internal and external reputation.
-Partner with others on the Global Communications team and with senior executives to develop and execute integrated communications strategies to support commercial initiatives and field sales incentive programs.
-Create and produce compelling, on-message and brand-compliant written and visual content for internal channels. This may include intranet content, newsletters, by-lined articles, blogs, presentations, speeches, videos, infographics etc.
-Provide communications counsel and support to business field sales leadership, which includes the development of high-level messaging and templates for the corporate account and field sales incentive programs.
-Build the Corporate Account and field sales intranet presence as central communications resource and manage content to keep site updated, relevant and engaging.
-Manage agency partnerships to ensure communications strategy is reflected in field sales incentive journey, messaging, content calendar and reporting/metrics.
-Participate in weekly incentive strategy calls, huddle meetings and other key meetings as needed, to provide updates on progress, perspectives on future content and pitch new content.
-Support other recognition and global communications projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or related field
-3+ years of business or corporate communications experience
-Experience working on internal communications, preferably in commercialization initiatives and/or within a sales-focused organization.
-Strong message development, communications strategy, planning and project management capabilities
-Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills, with knowledge of AP style
-Experience creating content in a variety of formats (e.g., articles, videos, presentations, etc.) and managing graphic design, photography and video production
-Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and productively with all types of people at all levels of the organization and with external vendors
-Takes initiative and moves projects forward despite ambiguity
-Highly organized and detail oriented
