About The Role

The Twin Cities PR BIPOC Career Explorer gives students a real-world look at the communications and PR professions. The program is open to all BIPOC students entering 300- and 400-level classes or who are within approximately two years of graduating and who are interested in exploring communications, public relations, and/or marketing as potential career fields.

Led by six leading Twin Cities PR agencies — Exponent, Carmichael Lynch Relate, Padilla, Hotwire, Tunheim, and Weber Shandwick — this program is virtual and open to students in or outside of the Twin Cities. Participants commit to two 90-minute workshops a month at noon central on Fridays, from September 2023 to April 2024.

In addition to being matched with a working professional to help grow students’ professional networks, participants are also eligible to receive a $1,000 stipend for participation and consistent attendance.
