About The Role

Shinebox
We’re an independent brand, design and motion studio in Minneapolis. When brands want to improve the well being
of individuals, communities or the environment, we think that’s good. And we’re here to help. Rather than working for
the status quo or working for incremental change—we help brands challenge category norms and even challenge
themselves. It’s how we disrupt for good.

The Role
The VP of Accounts at Shinebox is an executive leadership position overseeing client relationships and driving
growth. Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our client
portfolio. Working with account managers, strategists, and creatives, you’ll lead the Account team, ensuring the
success of our clients and their brands. Internally, the role involves leading a team to achieve short and long-term
goals aligned with agency growth plans.

You have three main areas of accountability.
Existing accounts— Our business is to help brands disrupt and grow for good. That means fostering excellent
working relationships and alignment with the clients who work on those brands. The account team reports to you.

New business— You’ll need to effectively communicate our value proposition, help market the agency, and nurture
leads from hello to welcome aboard. The agency’s leadership team will help you do that.

Member of the agency’s leadership team— You have a deep understanding of the agency business model, and what
it takes to be successful: a respectful and collaborative culture, remarkable creative that gets results and financial
stewardship.

Specific Job Responsibilities Include:
✴ Provide leadership, management and accountability for the Account Team at Shinebox
✴ Design and establish new business goals and strategies
✴ Prospect and grow agency revenue
✴ Oversee research, lead generation, outreach, and reporting of the agency pipeline
✴ Oversight and leadership of agency presentations, pitches and review proposals
✴ Manage industry relationships, client accounts and agency partnerships
✴ Actively participate in agency marketing efforts
✴ Oversee project management of ongoing work and core processes
✴ Seek, promote, and engage in ‘Disrupting for good.’

Where You Shine— Your qualities mapped to the agency’s Core Values:
✴ Progressive Spirit. You want society to move forward. Rather than being satisfied with what is — you’re curious
and ask, ‘what could be?’

✴ Driven to Understand. You naturally have empathy. You want to understand the why behind the what — the
people behind the plan.

✴ Make bold moves. You have a bias toward action. Having a point of view makes you an effective leader and at
times an inspired follower.

✴ Free beer. No assholes. You are a generous collaborator with a high emotional intelligence. For this you are
trusted and know how to trust.

Disrupting for good.
We make an ongoing effort to make good on our promise of disrupting for good. Seeking, promoting and engaging in
positive outcomes permeates our organization and our work. You’ll be an important part of our ESG efforts.

The Benefits of Being a Shineboxer
✴ Work where you work best. Home, away from home, in the office, on the road…
✴ Unlimited paid time off. We’re all adults here.
✴ 401k plan with company match
✴ Paid family leave for all genders. 16 weeks
✴ Complete health benefits including medical, dental, mental health and vision
✴ Disability insurance, life insurance, and flexible spending account plans
✴ Paid parking and a dog-friendly office (sorry, cats)
